At Holton Middle School we are very excited for the school year.  With all these great students in our building, the teachers and staff are always busy trying new and exciting activities to make HMS engaging and fun.  If you are ever curious about an activity your student is talking about at home, please feel free to call us. 

Middle school is a time of great transition for our students. More emphasis is placed on self-direction, motivation and advocating for self. New participation opportunities are available in terms of leadership, athletics, and academics. At HMS, our goal is to foster growth, achievement, and engagement during the middle level years.

We want to maximize the potential of every student who walks through our doors, and we accomplish that in a variety of ways. We have a block schedule featuring the core classes of math, language arts, social science, and science, in addition to a variety of exciting elective opportunities. We also have extra-curricular sports, clubs, and activities in which students can become involved. At HMS, we think it's important to recognize student achievement. Our teachers value and recognize excellence in academics, attendance, and attitude. There is always something exciting going on at HMS.
